Abstract: THE ROLE OF COMMUNICATION POLICIES IN ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS
This study examines the role of communication policies in enhancing organizational effectiveness. Objectives include identifying effective communication policies, assessing their impact on information flow, and evaluating their contribution to overall organizational performance. A survey design is employed to gather broad-based data from various organizational levels. The sample size of 350 respondents, determined using Taro Yamane's formula, ensures statistical significance. The research focuses on the telecommunications sector in Lagos, known for its communication needs. The reliability coefficient score for the survey instrument is 0.87, indicating high reliability. Findings reveal that well-structured communication policies significantly enhance organizational effectiveness by improving information flow and decision-making processes. The study recommends that organizations should prioritize effective communication strategies to achieve their goals.
